Pinn Panelle wants you to join the band!!!
Hello,
A lot of you have been asking when the next Pinn Panelle tracks will be “droppin’.” Some of you feel like we didn’t give you enough - ie. “one song is for pansies.” Some of you are saying that Derek Song “is an a-hole because he can’t get his band’s act together and just put out a grammy-winning record.” What you’re saying is that we’re just too. Darn. SLOW.
We wanted to take this time, after months of irrelevant facebook status updates, a crap video, and no recent tracks, to say: “we feel you.” We’re thinking the same thing, and we think the few people I didn’t mention above, telling us that we should “take as much time as possible,” are weird.
All we were trying to do with the release of “Snow Falls Up” - and all of our future releases for that matter - was to get it across that we care about the people close to us. Frankly, stuff as simple as that isn’t said much any more these days, and we’re so tired of the fake and conditional love that’s all too common in the world around us. Even more so, we wanted all of you to be inspired to tell others close to yourself that you care about them. We didn’t earn 1 cent from Snow Falls Up, and we AGONIZED over it. But our mission wasn’t about money, nor was it to “suggest that you like Pinn Panelle on facebook.” F that.
The band was supposed to release two tracks soon after we released “Snow Falls Up.” However, they’ve been at mixing stage ever since because although people love them… we literally just can’t get them finished. We don’t have any money left over, because we’ve spent it all on the expenses needed for making what you people deserve: an EP of incredible songs and in professional quality. Yes, it’s true, but judging by our track record thus far, the EP won’t be out for quite awhile. We know you guys want more stuff out of us, but we just can’t afford it any time remotely soon. We’re frustrated. We considered mixing them ourselves but nothing beats a professional mix and we only want to give you the best. Why? Because your parents want the best for you, your friends want the best for you, and we’re no different.
So I could go about this in two ways: I could beg you guys to give my band money so we can put more songs up OR… We can do something that I think is truly extraordinary.
I’m asking all of you, who I’ve hand invited again, to be a part of something that’s so important. I’m asking you to be a part of Pinn Panelle’s mission. We need money, but more importantly, we need you to tell others how much you care about them.
So here’s what we’re going to do. There’s a ChipIn widget on the sidebar of this blog and almost everywhere you can find us on the internet. But this will NOT be like any other donation you’ve ever done.
- When you send money using paypal, you will receive an email with a free download code for our three song demo CD which will include “Snow Falls Up,” and the two songs we’re trying to finish. You will SAVE the download code so you can get the CD when it comes out.
- Once you’ve clicked on the “ChipIn” button, CLICK THE LINK that says “add special instructions to merchant.” In the box, write down your name, and THE EMAIL ADDRESSES of people you care about who you want these two songs dedicated to when they’re finished. You must put at least one email address and it can’t be towards yourself, or else you won’t get a download code. If you want to include a personal message of your own, type it in the same box. Send this to someone who you maybe haven’t talked to in awhile, or talk to all the time, whoever, just be sure it’s someone you genuinely care about.
- The people you’ve dedicated these songs to will get an email saying “<your name> wanted to let you know that he/she cares about you, and wanted us to send you a free gift that he/she had a part in making.” That person will get a free download code as well! If you included a personal message of your own, that will also show up in the email and in quotes.
$200 is the rest of what we need if we want these 2 songs mixed & mastered. Once we reach $200, we’re done and this event will be no more. We’re not asking you to pay us, we’re asking you to get out there and have an effect on someone.
When you donate, this is what you are saying:
“I’m supporting my friends in Pinn Panelle, so that I can be a part of a mindset wake-up call in the form of beautiful, original, and meaningful Rock music that’s of the highest quality. I’m tired of fake and conditional love that seems all too present in the world I live in, and I want to see more of the real thing. I want to be a part of Pinn Panelle and support the message they’re trying to get across through their music, and by supporting their music, I’m showing the people close to me that I care about them too. I’m saying to those people that I want them to live in a more loving world.”
Thank you,
~Pinn Panelle
